## API developer portal

In line with the Centers for Medicare & Medicaid Services (CMS) Interoperability and Patient Access Rule, the Sutter Health Plan developer portal offers guidance for app developers to access HL7 FHIR-based Patient Access and Provider Directory Application Programming Interface (API) resources. These APIs enable developers to create tools that give patients secure access to their health data and enhance interoperability. The portal may also provide details and access to other APIs from Sutter Health Plan.
